Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks follow periods of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
